The two sides held extensive and in-depth discussions on further promoting China-Pakistan economic and trade cooperation and expanding enterprise investments.
He Zhenwei warmly congratulated the successful conclusion of the recently held 2nd China-Pakistan B2B Investment Summit in Beijing. He noted that the high-level economic and trade event, organized during the visit of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to China, attracted extensive participation from businesses and generated a lively atmosphere, earning widespread resonance and positive feedback from the enterprise communities of both countries. He emphasized that the achievements of the summit would not have been possible without the high-level attention and diligent efforts of Ambassador Hashmi and the Embassy team, to whom he expressed sincere gratitude. He expressed confidence that the summit would attract more Chinese enterprises to invest and collaborate in Pakistan, ushering China-Pakistan economic, trade, and investment cooperation into a new stage of higher quality and more pragmatic development.
Ambassador Hashmi extended a warm welcome to President He Zhenwei and his delegation and spoke highly of CODA’s role as a bridge in promoting enterprise cooperation between the two countries. He stated that the summit received strong recognition from Pakistani leaders and the business community. During the event, more than 250 business matchmaking sessions were held, resulting in investment agreements totaling approximately USD 1.5 billion and Letters of Intent (LOIs) worth about USD 7 billion. These record-breaking figures exceeded all expectations and reflected the strong willingness and broad prospects for cooperation between enterprises of the two countries. He sincerely thanked CODA and President He for their strong support in ensuring the success of the summit and proposed that the third Pakistan-China B2B Investment Summit be considered for hosting in Pakistan. He expressed hope for continued support and participation from CODA to further deepen practical economic cooperation between the two countries.
